General & Educational Purpose:

  • Educational Purposes Only: The content and instruction provided in the Ponytail Academy course, including materials related to the Ponytail Lift™ and Ponytail Facelift™ techniques, are for educational and informational purposes only. This course is designed to introduce practicing surgeons to these advanced endoscopic approaches.

  • No Guarantee of Skill or Results: Participation in and completion of this course do not guarantee competency, proficiency, or specific outcomes in performing the Ponytail Lift™, Ponytail Facelift™, or any other surgical procedures. Individual results and skill development will vary based on the participant's prior experience, effort, and aptitude. The techniques taught require diligent practice and adherence to professional standards.

  • Not a Substitute for Comprehensive Training or Certification: This course is a specialized training program focused on Dr. Chia Chi Kao's techniques. It is not a substitute for, nor does it lead to, board certification or any other formal credentialing required to practice surgery in any jurisdiction.

  • For Qualified Professionals: This course is intended for practicing surgeons who are licensed and qualified to perform surgical procedures within their respective jurisdictions. Attendees are responsible for ensuring they meet all prerequisite qualifications.

  • No CME/CE Credits: This course is not currently accredited for Continuing Medical Education (CME) or Continuing Education (CE) credits.

Practice & Application:

  • Scope of Practice: Attendees are solely responsible for understanding and adhering to their individual scope of practice as defined by their licensing boards and professional bodies. Learning these techniques does not automatically grant the authority to perform them if they fall outside an individual's licensed scope of practice or expertise.

  • Independent Medical Judgment: The information and techniques presented are intended to supplement, not replace, the attendee's independent medical judgment. Attendees are responsible for all decisions regarding patient care and treatment, including the appropriateness and application of any techniques learned in this course.

  • Patient Selection & Outcomes: The successful application of the Ponytail Lift™ and Ponytail Facelift™ techniques is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to proper patient selection, individual patient anatomy and physiology, and the surgeon's skill and experience. Ponytail Academy and Dr. Chia Chi Kao make no representations or warranties regarding specific patient outcomes.

Intellectual Property & Course Materials:

  • Intellectual Property: The Ponytail Lift™ and Ponytail Facelift™ are trademarked techniques. All course materials, including presentations, videos, and written documents, are the intellectual property of Dr. Chia Chi Kao and Ponytail Academy and are provided for the personal educational use of the attendee only. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or public display of course materials is strictly prohibited. Use of the trademarked names in your practice may be subject to specific guidelines provided during or after the course.

Logistics & Policy:

  • Tuition for the Ponytail Academy - IFATS 2025 is $7,800.00. Refunds are only available if the course is canceled personally by Dr. Chia Chi Kao and/or partnered affiliates. Admission is non-transferrable and has zero cash value.

  • Course Changes & Cancellation by Organizer:
    Ponytail Academy reserves the right to make changes to the course content, schedule, location, or faculty without prior notice, though every effort will be made to notify attendees of significant changes. Ponytail Academy also reserves the right to cancel the course, in which case a full refund of tuition fees will be provided. Ponytail Academy will not be responsible for any other costs incurred by attendees, such as travel or accommodation.

Dispute Resolution by Binding Arbitration:

  • Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to your admission to, participation in, or the content of the Ponytail Academy course, including this Agreement ("Dispute"), shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, before a single arbitrator. This Agreement and any Dispute shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgment may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. All parties agree that Disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis and waive any right to arbitrate any Dispute as a class action or representative proceeding. Each party will bear its own attorneys' fees, and AAA and arbitrator fees will be shared equally, unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator. If any part of this arbitration provision is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
